Garage sales are a great way to make some space in your home and put some cash in your wallet at the same time, but if you’re unable to sell everything at a garage sale, you may be stuck wondering where to put the rest of it. Here are four simple ideas for finishing the decluttering process.

1. Give Items to Goodwill

Goodwill is a great place to put your unused items toward a good cause. Just check their website or call ahead to be sure you understand what items they will accept. You can also get a receipt from goodwill for tax purposes later on.

2. Sell Items Online

If your items have any value, you can also try selling them online. There are plenty of websites where you can post items for sale or bid, and you might be able to make a little bit of cash in the process of clearing things out.

3. Throw Away the Trash

Sometimes the decluttering process really is just junk removal, as you might be holding on to too many unimportant items for your own good. If there are piles of papers and old magazines that really aren’t of any value, for example, just go ahead and throw them out. You’ll thank yourself later.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed with clutter in your own home, contact Junk Rescue to find out how they can help you clear out the junk and find some breathing room at home.
